Information for:

Timetable for submission of access agreements 2010-11

We have received a number of enquiries recently about the timetable for institutions wishing to submit or update access agreements for 2010-11.

As in previous years, if you wish to make a material change to your access agreement (for example, if you want to increase your fee limit, reduce your bursary provision or narrow eligibility for bursaries), you must notify us and apply for a variation of your access agreement by our annual deadline for revisions. We also need to update our records by confirming fee and bursary/scholarship levels for the 2010-11 intake.

This deadline varies according to when the Government lets us know the inflationary amount that will be applied to fees and eligibility levels. We have not yet been given an indication of when this Government announcement will take place.

What you need to do

No action is required until the Government has confirmed the inflationary increases for 2010-11. We will contact you with further information once any announcement has been made. We envisage allowing institutions a period of 6-8 weeks to confirm their student support packages for 2010-11. A Government announcement in June or early July would enable us to confirm approved fee limits of institutions and their partners with the Student Loans Company prior to the start of the application process in September 2009.
