Commenting on the latest UCAS application figures released today, Thursday 27 April, Sir Martin Harris, Director of OFFA said:
“I am encouraged that the very latest UCAS figures continue to show an underlying upward trend in applications to higher education.
“As we are still part way through the application cycle for 2006 it is important that universities and colleges continue to work hard to publicise the generous non-repayable bursaries which are available to those from low income and other under-represented groups, as well as the increases in state support.”
