The minimum bursary from 2010-11
In July 2009 we introduced a new minimum bursary requirement after receiving guidance from David Lammy, the Minister of State for Higher Education and Intellectual Property. This followed the decision to freeze the state maintenance grant for 2010-11 at 2009-10 levels.
OFFA guidance
From 2010-11 the minimum bursary requirement is 10 per cent of the maximum tuition fee. This ends the old requirement for the minimum bursary to make up the difference between the maximum Maintenance Grant and the fee charged.
