Dr Lee Elliot Major is Chief Executive of The Sutton Trust (a foundation that aims to improve social mobility through education, and improve opportunities for non-privileged children).
Lee has served on several Government advisory bodies on social mobility and education. He chairs the evaluation advisory group for the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), which supports and evaluates innovative projects to boost the attainment of disadvantaged children in under-performing schools. Lee commissioned and co-authored the Sutton Trust-EEF toolkit on what works to improve school attainment. He was previously an education journalist.
