Fiona Waye has worked for over 25 years in the education sector at both secondary and higher education level as a teacher, lecturer, researcher and in policy development. She works as a Policy Adviser for Universities UK (UUK) In 2000 she took a secondment to set up the higher education Equality Challenge Unit. She spent a year working in GuildHE to broaden her experience in working with higher education and specialist colleges. She is currently Senior Policy Lead in Equality and Diversity at Universities UK across a range of higher education policies including funding, student support, quality, admissions, and social mobility. She is responsible for UUK’s Student Policy Network, which is a group of vice-chancellors with responsibility for policy relating to students across the student lifecycle.
